Roy Mock Obituary

Roy Jackson Mock, 79, of Bedford, Va., passed away on Monday, October 12, 2009, at Bedford Memorial Hospital. He was born on Sunday, March 23, 1930, in Fairfax, a son of the late Richard J. Mock and Edna Robey Mock. He was also preceded in death by a son, Roy Lamont Mock. He was member of Calvary Baptist Church. Surviving is his wife, Mildred Blankenship Mock; two daughters, Carolyn Anderson, of South Carolina, and Donna Jones, of Fredericksburg, Va.; and four grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. on Wednesday, October 14, 2009, at Quaker Baptist Church with the Rev. Ray Lyons and the Rev. David Timma officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 13, 2009, from 6 until 8 p.m. at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford, Va., 540-586-3304.
