To Steve and Family:

Your Mother, Your Angel

You look back on memories you forgot you had,
And at times you'll smile even though it hurts so bad.

Your mother is a special woman and no one can take her place,
You'll find a piece of mind when you remember he smiling face.

Your mother is an angel now she flies high above the rest,
and in your hearts always and forever she will be the best.

She has earned her wings and it's time for her to fly,
I know it hurts no one is ever ready to say good-bye.

She knows you do not understand and that you cry at night,
But as you finally drift of to sleep let her memory hold you tight.

She will be your guardian angel through the rest of your life,
Helping lead you on the path between what' wrong and right.

your mother loves you so very much and her love will always remain true,
Please don't ever think for a second that your mother will forget you.

A mothers love is like no other in the whole world,
d she has the most wonderful memories of a little boy and girl.

She has taken them with her as she's flown away,
Up to Heaven free of pain which is her new home to stay.

So although you can not see her and you wish she could be there,
Your mother can always hear you and your mother will always care.

A mother does not forget the two greatest loves of her life,
And she loved nothing more than being your mommy, and your daddy's wife.

She is so proud of her family and that's in her heart to stay,
Even though she's and angel and has had to fly away.

So as you cry your tears remember your mothers love,
Being sent to you from her, from the beautiful Heaven above.

She will be there through your good times, she will be there through your bad,
She'll be there when you are happy, she'll be there when your sad.

Your mother has become and angel now, it is her time to fly,
And you will never know how bad it hurt me to watch you have to say good-bye.

To the Rhodes family,
Words cannot express how deeply sadden we was to hear of the passing of your dear mother. It was'nt that long ago I saw Ms.Rhodes in Food Lion.We talked just for a moment and gave each other a hug.I will remember the good times we all shared living in the Southwest/
Hurt Park community. On the mornings my parents and I would be sitting on the front porch enjoying our morning coffee, your mother would drive by on the Valley Metro bus and wave. What stood out the most was her smile.I will remember your mother with deep affection.I thank God for allowing us to be a part of each others family.Just
know you're in our heart and prayers.

Dear family of Delois,

There are times in life when we walk along our path we think we are going to experience nothing special, just the day to day routines of life. The day I met your mom she changed all that she showed me that you can be blessed and have the honor to meet a beautiful soul she was a diamond, the time I shared with your mom I cherish. Throughout her illness she thought of others before herself. She is an angel and she raised an amazing family. I am honored to have gotten to know you and your mom. She is now a guardian angel is all the best ways.

Love always,

October 15, 2009

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

My dear friend Delois, I can't sleep tonight thinking of how unfair it seems you're gone so soon. I saw your children that will miss you so much, your grandchildren, your family and friends at the hospital. You were fun and kind. People knew where you stood and you were always straight up with them, I loved you for that. I don't know why you had to be taken so soon but if love and respect from your friends could have kept you here you'd be on this earth two hundred years. Walk with Jesus, I love you.
