Timothy Cox Obituary

Timothy Edward Cox Sr., 54, of Hillsville, Va., died on Monday evening, October 12, 2009, at his home. He was born on July 12, 1955, in Pulaski and was the son of the late Jake Davis and Ruby Bailey Cox. He was also preceded in death by his son, Timothy Edward Cox Jr.; sister, Kathleen McGlothlin; and a brother, Thurman. G. Cox. He was a wood worker by trade. Surviving are his wife, Glenna Hall Cox; daughter, Sarah Anne Cox; four brothers, Harold, Arthur, Frank and Charles Cox; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held 1 p.m. on Thursday, October 15, 2009, from Stevens Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Jim Linkous officiating. Burial will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin. Visiting will be held on Thursday afternoon from the funeral home where the family will receive friends from noon until the service hour. Flowers are appreciated and the family wishes that memorials be made to the Joy Ranch, P.O. Box 727, Hillsville, Va. 24343. Arrangements by Stevens Funeral Home, Pulaski, Va.
