Madeline Tinnell Obituary

December 5, 1918 ~ October 13, 2009 Madeline Edmondson Tinnell went to live with the Lord on Tuesday, October 13, 2009. She was born on December 5, 1918, in Knoxville, Tenn. She was a long time resident of Roanoke, Va., and most recently a resident of The Woodlands, Texas. She was an active member of First Baptist Church of The Woodlands, and a former member of Virginia Heights Baptist Church in Roanoke, Va. She retired from the Chesapeake and Potomac branch of the Bell Telephone Company in 1975. She was preceded in death by her second husband, Marcellus Fenton Tinnell, on June 23, 1990. She is survived by her sisters, Andrea Jenkins, of Harrimon, Tenn., and Alice Faye Everhart and husband, Don, of Madisonville, Tenn.; her brother, Charles C. Edmondson and wife, Aloha, of Rocky Face, Ga.; her stepson, Gordon Marc Tinnell and wife, Janice, of The Woodlands, Texas; her grandsons, Michael Elliott Tinnell and wife, Tamara, of The Woodlands, Texas, Richard Garnett Tinnell and wife, Kellie, of San Antonio, Texas, and Robert Fenton Tinnell and wife, Christy, of Dickinson, Texas; six greatgrandchildren; and her stepdaughter, Trudi Tinnell Smith and husband, Wayne, of Saratoga Springs, N.Y. Visitation is planned on Monday, October 19, 2009, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Oakey's South Chapel, 4257 Brambleton Avenue, SW, Roanoke, Va. A graveside funeral service will be conducted 10 a.m. on Tuesday, October 20, 2009, at the Evergreen Burial Park in Roanoke, Va., by both the Reverend Nelson Harris, of Virginia Heights Baptist Church, and the Reverend Don Everhart, of Madisonville, Tenn.
