David Whorley Obituary

David Whorley Jr., 75, of Bent Mountain, Va., entered into eternal rest on Friday, October 16, 2009. He was preceded in death by one son, Larry (Smitty) Whorley Jr.; parents, Gratton and Virginia (Ginny) Whorley; and six brothers, John, Eugene, Arthur (Art), Ed, Charles Russell (Rutt), and Douglas (Doug) Whorley. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Roxie Whorley; two daughters, Charlene and husband, Rochevious Nance, and Edna (Susie) Whorley; two sons, Martin (Guy) and wife, Dana Whorley, and Christopher (Chris) Whorley; two sisters, Claris and husband, Manuel Webb, and Dora Hunt; two brothers, Roosevelt Whorley, and Allen Truman and wife, Hazel Whorley; one aunt, Fannie Webb; 14 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. A very special "Thank You" to the Lewis Gale Staff on the 6th Floor 6 West for their outstanding and professional services rendered. God Bless You. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 24, 2009, at the Bent Mountain Baptist Church with the Rev. Wallace Brown officiating. Interment will follow in the Webb Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, October 23, 2009, at the Bent Mountain Baptist Church. Online condolences may be made by visiting maberryfuneralhome.com. To my family,It's heavy on my heart to know that my uncle has left me,Yet! I know that God has other plans for us, and that God does not give us more then we can deal with. I'm just not really ready to let of the family members so soon! We still have things and issues that needed to be addressed like saying I Love You & The unity that is a must!! for the beautiful family God has given us.
