Cordelia Evelyn Vaughan

Cordelia Evelyn Vaughan, 89, of Hillsville, Va., passed away on Saturday October 17, 2009, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice House in Dobson, N.C. She was born in Laurel Fork, Va. on September 27, 1920, to the late Jonah Hezikak and Mary Elizabeth Sowers Marshall. She is survived by her devoted husband of 67 years, James Edwin Vaughan; two daughters Donna Donnelly and husband, Rob Donnelly, of Chilhowie, Va., and Anne Huff and husband, Larry, of Marietta, Va.; also surviving are her loving sisters, Christine Rakes, Laurel Fork, and Aileen Wiggins, Ridgeway; and her beloved 11 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and two great-greatgrandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 19, 2009, at the Vaughan-GuynnMcGrady Chapel at 2 p.m. Burial will follow in the Jonah Hezikah Marshall Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, October 19, 2009, one hour prior to the funeral service.
