Shirley Wilson Obituary

Mrs. Shirley Crowder Wilson, of Roanoke, Va., peacefully entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, October 20, 2009. She was born in Hollins, Va., on May 1, 1931, to the late Claude and Pauline Crowder. She was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Faye (Tiny) Jordan and Dorothy (Peg) Wilson; one sister; and three brothers. Those left to cherish her memory included her sons, Ronnie L. Wilson and Leon (Stella) LeFlore, both of Roanoke; a very devoted and caring daughter, Della M. LeFlore; grandchildren, Kevin (Yogi) Wilson and Chad Jordan, both of Roanoke, Wesley Jordan, of Atlanta, Ga., Tammy (Nate) Jones, of New Jersey, Tameka (Carlos) Smith, Michelle (Swami) White, and Rondell Burnette, of Roanoke, and Teray and Troy Wilson, of Georgia; eight grandchildren; eight greatgrandchildren; a very devoted and caring niece, Mary Adeoti; and a long time friend, Mrs. Betty Long. She also remains in the hearts of many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at noon on Saturday, October 24, 2009, at Shiloh Baptist Church with the Rev. Adrian E. Dowell officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service. Friends may call on Friday afternoon, October 23, 2009, for viewing at HamlarCurtis Funeral Home.
