Preston Albert Obituary

Preston Lee Albert, 42, of Pulaski, Va., passed away on Saturday, October 24, 2009. Born on December 31, 1966, in Radford, he is the son of Stephen K. Albert and Judy Carolyn White Albert. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Kellas M. and Naomi M. White, and Dorothy and Clyde Albert. Preston was a member of the Jordan's Chapel United Methodist Church. He was an electrician and a skilled musician with a great love of music especially bluegrass and gospel. He is survived by his parents, Stephen and Judy Albert, of Pulaski; his sister, Stephanie Kaye Albert Rygas and husband, Spencer, of Pulaski; aunts and uncles, the Rev. James and Elaine Alley, of Pulaski, Delwayne and Doris Albert, of Norfolk, Kellas Jr. and Joyce White, of Pulaski, Dallas R. White, of Dublin, Joanne and Jimmy Patterson, of Glen Allen, Va., and Jan and Phil Covey, of Tallahassee, Fla.; and many cousins, friends and neighbors. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. on Wednesday, October 28, 2009, in the Bower Funeral Home Chapel, Pulaski with the Rev. James Alley and the Rev. John Grimm officiating. Interment will follow at the Thornspring Cemetery, Pulaski County. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 1 p.m. until the time of service at Bower Funeral Home, Pulaski. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials in his memory may be sent to the Jordan's Chapel United Methodist Building Fund, P.O. 1626, Pulaski, Va.
