Thomas Fitzgerald Obituary

Thomas Patrick Fitzgerald, 65, of Richmond, Va. died Thursday, October 22, 2009 at Henrico's Doctors Hospital in Richmond. He was born on December 3, 1943, in Danville, Va., the son of the late Hugh Seldon Fitzgerald and is survived by his mother, Katharine Adams Fitzgerald. He served in the Navy during the Vietnam War. He is also survived by one sister, Katherine Fitzgerald Bush and her husband, Joseph, of Hampden Sydney, Va.; one niece, Katrina Bush Cantrell; one nephew, Joseph F. Bush; two great-nieces, Lauren T. Bush and Caroline N. Bush; two great-nephews, Charles F. Cantrell and Samuel J. Cantrell. Funeral services were conducted at the graveside at Payneton United Methodist Church Cemetery on Sunday, October 25, 2009 at 2 p.m., with the Rev. David Smith officiating. The family suggests in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the S.P.C.A. Scott Funeral Home in Chatham is respectfully serving the Fitzgerald family.
