Melvin Fleshman Obituary

Mr. Melvin M. Fleshman Sr., 94, formerly of Covington, Va., died on Sunday, October 25, 2009. He was the husband of the late Carol Spellman Fleshman. Mr. Fleshman was born on February 9, 1915, in Covington, the son of the late Samuel Young Fleshman and Bessie Mae Ballard Fleshman. Mr. Fleshman is survived by a son, Melvin M. Fleshman Jr.; two daughters, Kimberly Fleshman Hensley and husband, Brent, and Carolyn Fleshman Young and husband, Guy; eight grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; a sister; and a number of nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be conducted 2 p.m. on Thursday, October 29, 2009, from the chapel of Loving Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Alleghany Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Thursday afternoon from 12:30 p.m. until service time at Loving Funeral Home.
