Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am in a thousand winds that blow,
I am the softly falling snow.
I am the gentle showers of rain,
I am the fields of ripening grain.
I am in the morning hush,
I am in the graceful rush
Of beautiful birds in circling flight,
I am the starshine of the night.
I am in the flowers that bloom,
I am in a quiet room.
I am in the birds that sing,
I am in each lovely thing.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there. I do not die.

Mrs. Magruder, Kathy & family, Please accept my condolences in Dr. Magruder's passing. It's been over 25-years since I was a student of his and I have often thought of his funny stories that he told during classes and the other antics that made me look forward to his class. I can still hear his calm low voice when he was trying to help a student in class and I can still see him walking down the hall wearing his tan winter coat and worn baseball hat. Ed wasn't just a college teacher, he was an educator. He cared about his students. Every so often in my life, I have thought about my days at VWCC and Ed poking fun at me in his finance class. I'm thankful that I had the opportunity to learn from him.
