Nadene Combs Jennings

10/19/1921 ~ 10/26/2009 Nadene Combs Jennings, 88, of Galax, Va., passed away on Monday, October 26, 2009, in Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Jennings was born on October 19, 1921, in Pulaski, Va., to Charlie F. and Ruth Donithan Combs. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Theopolis Haywood Jennings. She is survived by her daughters and sonsin-law, Sandra and Ted Murray, of Daleville, Va., and Sara and Charlie Sizemore, of Galax, Va.; son, Rocky Jennings, of Galax, Va.; sister and brother-in-law, Wilda and Gene Fayne, of Galax, Va.; nine grandchildren; two greatgrandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held 2 p.m. on Thursday, October 29, 2009, in Snow Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Ernie Smith officiating. The body will lie in-state one hour prior to the funeral service. Burial will follow in Monta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 28, 2009, from 7 until 9 p.m. at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
