Curtis I can't put into words how much I miss you and how different things are here without you. How many people’s lives you impacted, how many people miss you and love you. There’s not a day that goes by I don’t think about you. I see something everyday that reminds me of you. I miss you so much, miss you putting a smile on my face when I was upset and telling me everything would be okay. I really wish I could hear you say that right now. Only you know that I pray to you and god when I’m upset and have nobody else to turn to. Your were a great person and a great friend. Curtis, after all the years of knowing you, to me you were invicible.It makes you appreciate life in a whole new meaning. You really did teach me a lot of things in life that you taught me when i was like 13 and they still help me out today. I don't know a single person's life that you didn't touch. Can't believe it has already been a year. Seems like just the other day we was all back at GHS having lunch , kickin it, talkin bout this and that. I hate this thing... I read all these comments and tears drown my face... it's so hard to believe that it has been a year since you left us... In a years time a lot of things have changed, but one thing still remains you are loved and missed dearly... The memories we had good and bad you were always there... It's been a year and I could never have imagined bein here now. I think about you every day. The things I've learned from you I never realized when you were standin beside me. Hackett Family,
I have known you all a long time (especially DeVon) and although I haven't seen Curtis in a while, I vividly remember his laugh and smile while asking constantly to 'hook him up with my sister' :) the good memories are what we have left and just as I did, look back on the wonderful memories and smile. The Lord said before we were born he knew the days of our lives. Even before Curtis was born, the Lord knew his day of coming and day of going. For him to take Curtis at such a young age only means he had special plans for him in Heaven. We are only here temporary, and our biggest accomplishment in life is leaving to go be with our Lord where there is no sorrow and no pain. God will heal your hearts in time. No words can ever explain how much you'll be missed. You didnt know a stranger and you could light up a room as soon as you walked in you could brighten up anyones day. God took and angel when he took you. I can remember all the times at Dennys that you would try and serve my customers :) crazy boy! I didn't know Curtis very well, only saw him as a child at your home, but I did know Jessie(worked with her at Shoney's) and was a visitor at your home many times, and I know what an exceptional person she was, and I know she had to pass that along. I am so sorry to hear you have lost such an amazing young man, but may the comfort of God's love and your many friends and family carry you through, and may reflecting on your memories bring you some peace. Curtis was definately one of a kind. He had the personality and heart everyone wanted to have. He knew how to talk to people and was never afraid of doing what he wanted in life. I remember all the good times we shared on the football field way back in the day, in the cafeteria at lunch, walking around the fair to just hanging out at your house. I reflect on all the memories we shared together and the fun times we had growing up . Our families have always had one anothers back and that is not going to change. I met Curtis when I moved here almost 8yrs ago. He always made me laugh. For the past here I havnt seen him much only when he would come into applebees bc he always asked for me when he came in (i am a server there).
