Eleanor Kinney Duffner

Eleanor Kinney Duffner, 68, of Radford, Va., died Wednesday, October 28, 2009, at Montgomery Regional Hospital after a 33 day battle with lung cancer. Eleanor was born in Milford, Del. on October 12, 1941, to the late Donald L. and Evelyn Kemp Kinney. Eleanor was a retired employee of Amerisource (Strother Drug Co.) and was a member of Chestnut Hill United Methodist Church in Lynchburg. She is survived by her husband of 29 years, C. Richard Duffner, of Radford; three sisters, Beverly K. Poore, of Dover Del., Donna K. Hicks, of Selbyville, Del., Rita K. Bailey, of Camden, Del.; one brother, Donald L. Kinney Jr., of Madison Heights, Va.; and was loved by her nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be conducted Monday, November 2, 2009, at noon in the Spring Hill Cemetery in Lynchburg, Va. with the Rev. Tommy McDearis officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2840 Electric Road, Suite 106A, Roanoke, Va. 24018. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, November 1, 2009, at McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Dr. SW, Blacksburg.
