My Dearest Brother,

Thanksgiving, Thanksgiving,seems to be
pushed aside and Christmas rushing in.
No longer does it seem to be the time
of year when we think of things we are
most thankful for. This morning I have
been reflecting on the past months and
I know it is a time to give thanks. As
we join hands and make our circle, we
cannot give thanks this that it is not
broken. We will be missing you. I and the family will miss your blessing the
food we are about to partake. You always said it with so much pride, so
much grace. We'll miss that, but I know
you'll in all our hearts. As Lil Will
always said "the best part of Thanks-
giving was the blessing." This Thanks-
giving I will thank God you are at
peace. Happy Thanksgiving in heaven.
We know you are smiling down on us.
We all love and miss you so very much.

My Dearest Brother,
I begin my day by thanking God for the
mornings rising and saying good morning
to you. The day seems so still and such
a quietness even with the television or
radio turned on. The telephone is always ringing constantly and I know I
will pick it up and hear you say "Hey
Babe, What's Up." But then I realize
it will not be. I hear you say read
the 23rd Psalms and so I do. I think
of some of the corny things we talked
about and smile with a tear. I miss
our talks so much, I miss you so much.
And at the end of the day, I thank
God for the blessing and I say to you
goodnight. I love you so much.

Always,
Your Sis,
Connie

To the Reid Family:

The sorrow of the faithful is not that of permanent loss, but the tender sense of sadness that comes in saying good-bye for now to someone we love. May today's sorrow give way to the peace and comfort of God's love.

My Dearest Brother,
I am sitting here trying to get through
the day and I know God is going to help
me through, but right now it seems so
hard. You know John, chapter 14 is one
of my favorite verses in the bible and
each time I see you I recite it because I know in my heart there is a
place for you. The outpouring of love
and support shown you through your
illnesses and your homegoing were
just so beautiful, I know we can all
hold on to that to help us through
and ofcourse all the wonderful memories we have of you and our lives
together will help ease our pain. I
love you so very much and I miss you so.

To Mrs. Reid & Family,

I cannot began to tell you how my life has changed upon meeting Mr. & Mrs. Reid. I remember when I first met him right after his surgery and he was giving orders and taking names. I just laughed and let him think he was the boss. Upon getting to know both Mr. & Mrs Reid I knew they were good people very loving and kind to everyone. No matter were I saw them they were always smiling, always giving words of encouragement. My thoughts are prayers are with you all he was a great man. God makes no mistakes and he saw that he was tired and he gave him rest. He is at peace now. May God be with you all.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

I walked away that morning, without a backward glance,
I didn't know that moment was going to be our last.
The last time I would hold you or see your lovely face,
The last time I would kiss you and feel your strong embrace.

So solid and so real,so vibrant and alive,
A happy face with twinkling eyes, my fine young man, my child.
My first-born son, my Adam, the apple of my eye,
so cruelly taken from me, I never said goodbye.

The shattered remnant of my heart is strangely beating still,
with holes so black and fathomless no light could ever fill.
I don't know how I face each day without my darling boy.
Gone is all the happiness, the love of life, the joy.

The years stretch on before me, so bleak and dark and long,
I pray you walk beside me, son, and help to keep me strong.
And when my life is over, come to me on that day,
and smile at me and hold me tight and carry me away.

the wind that whispers through the trees, the brightest star at night,
a rainbow on a dismal day, a shaft of golden light,
All these are signs you send to me, a message from above,
that even death can't break the bonds of Husband and Mother Love...

There are no words that can even begin to express the Love I shared with you. It seems as if we had our very own connection that only we could understand. There are so many memories that I hold dear to my heart, so many words of wisdom that you shared with me. The support you gave me in life, the encouragement to pursue my dreams, the pep talks that contributed to me reaching my goals, even in your time of illness you were there for me displaying your love and support as always on one of the most important days in my life. You said to me "You knew I'd be here"...I Love You! My mothers' baby brother and her friend. You were and remarkable human being, when he created you God gave me one of the best Uncles in this world. Will,
There must be a reason we can't see,
There must be a reason why...
A reason that we must take on faith
as we do the sun on high.
There must be a reason why it is so
There must be the answer why
someone who is so dear to us
suddenly has to die.
Life is a journey so we are told,
for some long,for others brief.
A journey on which we find joy
mingled with tears of grief.
So we must try to remember the joy today,
However brief it may be
and know we will find the answer why
The reason we now can't see.
I Love you so very much and I thank
God for your being my baby brother
and most of all for being in my life.
