Dear Barbara and girls, I was so sad to hear of the passing of Doug. I will always remember our times of bowling with Doug and you Barbara on the C&P league and the many outings with the Telephone Pioneers. Doug will truly be missed. I retired with 30 years service in 2000 from the engineering group. My husband and I moved to Florida after my retirement and miss see our friends from C&P and Roanoke. Know that you and all your family are in our prayers during this time. May the many good memories of Doug stay with you and all who knew him. Know he is with our Lord now and not in pain. God bless you all. Henry & Rosetta (nee Farris)Howard

Dear Barbara and Family,
Please accept my heartfelt sympathy at this time of grief and loss. I will always remember Doug as a close friend and great guy to work with. He always had a calmness about him, even when things got really hectic. Most of all, I will remember him for his great sense of humor and gentle nature. He will be truly missed.

All of our love and sympathy goes out to your family. Things will not be the same at our "extended" family dinners without Doug and his quiet wisdom and ready smile.
Love to all,

Dear Barbara, Mary, and all family members,
So sorry of your loss. I didn't know Mr. Lam well, only when I saw him on occasion at his home when I needed to have something notorized. He always seemed to be busy with his woodwork. Mary, I remember a quote or two that you would mention from your dad. ("Hit the Hay") I could tell how much love and devotion you had for your dad. He is no longer battling such a dreaded disease, and he is the victor - living with his Savior, Jesus, in his heavenly home. God be with each and every one of you at this time of sorrow. May He give you comfort with all your memories, and peace and assurance. Love & prayers,
Gloria & Buddy Johnston
