To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

Kevin I still cant believe that you are gone it's so hard to see ppl over at the park and kno that you will never be there again! except in spirit and our memories that we will never forget. the summers wont be the same not having you over there playin ball and jokin around with us! My thoughts and prayers go out to my cousin Tina, Leighla, family and friends. Kevin will be missed by many as you can already see and he will live on in our hearts. I will never forget the last time that I seen him out and we got to talk. He never had that smile off his face the whole time. We had our differences at one time but Im glad that we spoke previous times before as well. He always liked to joke around and his dancing..... that was something else. Kevin and I played football and ran track together....He was always such tiger on the field as well as the track. I know that his life reflected that in many ways. Kevin and I lost touch after school but I ran into him about two months ago and we talked about the past and future. The one thing that stands out even at this time is how proud he was of his famialy.....he really did love all of you and his friends. I know deep in my heart the lord has a plan for us all and sometimes he takes the strongest ones first to help in some way, shape or form ....I know Kevin will be missed by all. I wish peace to all of his famialy in this hard time but keep your head up because I know that Kevin is watching down over us.....God bless. Go Eagles!

The time I spent Coaching Kevin in Basketball will be with me forever he was a great Team Member and Competitor. I also was a big fan of watching Kevin smell out that Goal Line. Noone was going to keep him out of that Endzone.

I didn't know Kevin that well, however he worked with my husband Paul, and he will be truly missed by so many. Kevin is in a much better place watching over everyone. GOD needed and angel and took Kevin for that purpose. We will see you again one day!! The Martin family will be in our prayers!!

I have been knowing Kevin since we were little. We went to church together, sang in the choir together, went to school together, and had so many wonderful memories. I had not spoke to Kevin in a years until one month before he passed. He called me to share condolences for my mom, whom he loved!!! That day he told us just how much he loved us and we reminisced and talked about positive changes. Kevin was a special person and I pray for all family and friends that are left behind. I'll see you again....

Please be encouraged during this time of bereavment, know that you have many praying and petitioning God on your behalf. As I read the sincere words of remembrance from friends and loved ones I am reminded of Kevin's smile and laughter also. It was his first time leading a song in the Youth Choir at Promise Land; Kevin took the microphone, put on that great-big smile of his, and laughed all the way through the song. We all laughed,along with him as he gave God the Glory through song. He loved the Lord, and his Church, this was obvious through his many hours of volunteer work (cleaning, preparing for Sunday Morning Worship and special events) at Promise Land where he aknowledged Christ as his Lord and Savior.
The Bible gives us comfort in knowing that, even though Kevin is absent from us, He is present with the Lord. And I pray that you find hope in knowing that Earth has no sorrow that Heaven can not heal. Put your complete trust in Jesus and know that He will carry you through this time of loss.
Weeping is present now, but family look forward to the morning when God sends Joy.
I've asked God to touch every heart and reassure you all that you will see Kevin again if you too know God for the pardon of sin.
If I could talk to Kevin I would just say, "Sleep on Son, we will see you in the Morning."

What a smile that man had. Kevin used to spend time at my house with my kids, Nathan & Josh Serreno during their SRHS days. He had the charm! and lordy, could he eat!! Last time I saw him, 2007, he gave me a bear hug I can still feel. Condolences to all of his family. RIP Kevin. i bet he & Josh have already hooked up, heaven wont be the same!!

Kevins huge smile will be missed by many. He was such a great friend and will always be part of the many great memories I have of SRHS. I don't think he missed any of our home basketball games, he was always cheering us on in the stands. My thoughts and prayers are with you all, I am sorry for your loss.

My heart goes out to the Martin family and I will keep you all in my prayers. I first met Kevin in Moneta Elementary School before I moved. Of course he always picked on me but it was innocent fun. Since then Kevin recently worked with me and I played slow pitch softball on a team against him. Kevin always had something to say to make you laugh. He was a good guy and this is truely a tragedy to lose him in this way.

I am not really sure where to begin with the many memories that I have of Kevin.. The Smile that would announce his presence in a room or his amazing laugh. Kevin was a great person and he will leave a lasting impression on my heart he will be greatly missed.
