grandmama,
i miss you so much. i find myself telling people all of the things we did and wishing i was that little girl by your side stealing bisquit dough, or running your flour mill. going down in the cellar and getting canned food with you. i can taste your cooking, those blackberry coblers oh man . i wish our boys had gotten to know you and granddaddy the way we did. i feel sorry for them that they will never know that kind of unconditional love you and granddaddy gave all of us. we miss you, but i know you and granddaddy are having a big old time catching up and watching us all down here. i love you and i will see you again someday.

There isn't a day that goes by that we do not miss you. There isn't a night that goes by that Connor does not ask Jesus to tell you hello when we kneel to pray before bed. I thank God every day that Connor and I were so truly blessed to have you in our lives. We will cherish the memories of having you as our wonderful Grandmother always! I take solice and find peace in the fact of knowing that you are now our angel in heaven, watching my little boy continue to grow. I am so very thankful that you were here with us to help mold him into the little person he is today....I hope that we always make you proud. We love you now, always and forever!

Great grandmomma, thats what I called her... The word GREAT doesn't even do justice for the woman I remember. I can remember meeting at her house almost every sunday for dinner and family unity. Her table was always full of some of the best food ever known to man(if you ever had her green beans you know what I'm talking about lol) I used to enjoy going to her house and doing puzzles or playing home-made board games and no matter the time of morning or evening she always took the time to play with us children. She also would take me to church with her a few times on saturday mornings, which i think was very important to her(her faith that is) she used to try and teach me the books of the bible in order the way they are listed. I'm 28 years old now and still think about that evey time I have my bible on my lap. I have alot of memories about my great grandmother and have learned alot from the times we had. I can remember as a boy I tried to cheat her at a board game, when she told me she wouldn't tolerate playing with cheaters and threatened to never play with me again. I learned a valuable lesson that day and believe me that lesson has carried with me through out my life. I learned from her to stand up for what was right no matter what someones opinion was. Thats the way Martha Hoosier lived her life, even through tough times she always found the good in people. I admired that about her and feel blessed to have had the chance to know her. I can imagine she is happy to be home with her family in heaven and is looking down on each and every one of us!!! I hope she likes what she sees and I can't wait until the day that I get to see her again, I love her and will miss her forever. GOD BLESS & TAKE CARE your great grandson BRIAN T

Grandma was there from the start cradling me as a baby. I would climb on her knee to eat ice cream & have her read to me. As I got older, I would run up after school to visit & grab a rock hard oatmeal cookie out of the bottom of the fridge. We all have our own special memories of grandma because she made each of us feel special. Grandma gave me the most important things in life: her time, her attention & most of all her love. I am blessed to have had 35 years with her but I will miss her with all my heart.

Grandmother, I remember the day I called you and asked if I could come for a visit. You said, "baby I don't have much to give you but my love so come and get it." I can still see you standing in the doorway when we arrived with your arms wide open to hug me. I can still feel your embrace and hear you whisper in my ear "I've always loved you." And seeing Mom cry. I will cherish that moment until it my time to see you both on the other side. I love you grandmother and kiss my mom for me.
