March Evelyn Heck Dooley

March Evelyn Heck Dooley, 77, of Thaxton, Va., died Saturday, November 14, 2009, in Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Born March 30, 1932, in Bedford County, a daughter of the late Lena W. and Hugh E. Heck. She was a member of Bedford Church of God. In addition to her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by seven sisters; two brothers; and one grandchild. Remaining to cherish the precious memory of their mother are seven children, Edward A. Dooley and his wife, Liz, Russell E. "Bozie" Dooley and his companion, Chris, Jerry L. Dooley, Lena D. Craig (Harold Craig), Mary V. Nester and her companion, David, Rebecca A. "Flute" O'Neal, Cynthia D. "Pookie" Dooley; 14 grandchildren; 20 greatgrandchildren; numerous special nieces and nephews. A celebration of Evelyn's life will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 17, 2009, in the Tharp Funeral Chapel with Dr. Eldridge V. Cullum officiating.
