Anita Coon Obituary

Anita Marie Coon, 45, wife of Ricky Coon of 105 College Circle, Staunton, Va., died on Monday, November 16, 2009, at her residence. She was born on January 7, 1964, in England, the daughter of Brendan and Mary Wilkinson. Mrs. Coon was a veteran of the United States Air Force. She was a devoted wife and mother who lived a prosperous and active life. She was active in the community with her family and friends. She was loved by all and was known as The Neighborhood Mom. In addition to her husband, family members include a daughter, Nicole Coon; a son, Woody Coon; three brothers, Brian, Paul, and Tony Wilkinson; and six nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be conducted 6 p.m. on Thursday, November 19, 2009, in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service from 7 until 9 p.m. and other time at her residence. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Salvation Army, 1700 West Beverley Street, Staunton, Va. 24401. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.henryfuneralhome.net.
