Paul Zelenak Obituary

Paul Edward Zelenak, 67, of Roanoke, Va., passed away on Tuesday, November 17, 2009, at his home. He was born in Windber, Pa., on October 26, 1942, the son of the late Paul and Elizabeth Zelenak. He was retired from General Electric as a mechanical engineer. Surviving is his loving wife of 44 years, Darlene Victoria Zelenak; two sons, Edward William and wife, Christina Yvonne, of Greensboro, N.C., and Randy Allen and wife, Melissa Kay, of Roanoke; and five grandchildren, Devan Paul and Kyle Edward, of Greensboro, Michael Allen, Brianna Kay and Katelyn Renee, of Roanoke. He loved playing cards and looked forward to his Tuesday lunch and bridge games with close and good friends at the Roanoker and his monthly poker games. The family will receive friends at Oakey's South Chapel on Brambleton Avenue from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, November 19, 2009. Services will be held 1 p.m. on Friday, November 20, 2009, at Oakey's South Chapel. Dr. Jeff Scott will officiate. Arrangements by Oakey's South Chapel, 540-989-3131.
