Clarence Dunford Obituary

Clarence Conner (C.C.) Dunford Jr., 60, of Dublin, Virginia, died Friday, November 20, 2009. He was born November 22, 1948 in Roanoke, Virginia and was the son of the late Clarence C. and Sadie V. Dunford. He was also preceded in death by an infant son, Randolph Conner Dunford. Mr. Dunford was a graduate of Fort Chiswell High School, a retiree of Volvo in Dublin and a recent employee of Peebles in Pulaski. He was an active member of the Dublin Christian Church. Surviving are his wife of 39 years, Dreama Dunford, Dublin; two daughters and sons-in-law, Amy and Mark Crouch, Bedford, Audra and Troy Bowyer, Forest; granddaughter, Stephanie Crouch, Bedford; sister and brother-in-law, Lucy and Diego Serge, Raleigh, N.C.; brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Nancy Dunford, Waynesboro. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at 11 a.m. from the Dublin Christian Church with Terry Hodge officiating. Burial will take place in the Olive Branch Church Cemetery in Wythe County. Visiting will be Monday evening, November 23, 209 from 6 to 8 p.m. from Stevens Funeral Home, Pulaski. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be mailed to the Dublin Christian Church Building Fund, P. O. Box 1330, Dublin, Va. 24084. Arrangements by Stevens Funeral Home, Pulaski.
