Clara Givens Obituary

Clara M. (Tootie) Givens, 90, departed this life November 21, 2009. Tootie was born October 6, 1919 to the late Frank and Nora Huffman Miller. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard (Dick) Givens, sister, Esterleen M. Crawford, brothers, Ray O. (Bud) Miller, Jessie Miller, and Bobby Miller. She is survived by sister-in-law, Leona (Sue) Miller; aunt, Merita (Sis) Williams; nieces, Geneva C. Short, Nora (Sissy) Caldwell; nephew, Wayne Crawford and wife, Pat. She is also survived by a special cousin, Pauline Gray; longtime friend, Eunice Baker; and caregiver, Barbara Hutchinson and family; numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff of Lewis Gale Medical Center and Dr. Nelson Greene for their excellent care over the last two months. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday, November 23, 2009, at Paitsel Funeral Home with Minister Ray Murphy officiating. Interment will follow at Huffman Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Sunday November 22, 2009 at Paitsel Funeral Home. Arrangements by Paitsel Funeral Home www.paitselfh.com.

Tootie, you will be missed. The memories of you are so precious and will last the rest of my life. You were one spunky woman, and a good christian. See you in Heaven!
