Edward Thurber Obituary

Edward A. Thurber, 89, of Roanoke, Va., passed away on Sunday, November 22, 2009, at the Salem Virginia Veterans Care Center after a short illness. He was a long time resident of the Roanoke area. He served in World War II and the Korean conflict. He was born in Lowell, Mass., and is survived by his sister, Theresa Maguire, of Chelmsford, Mass.; his brother, Ernest Thurber and his wife, Martha, of Nashua, N.H.; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Arrangements entrusted to Lotz Funeral Home, 1001 Franklin Road, Roanoke, Va. 24016, 540-992-1001.
