Mary Hancock Obituary

Mary Louise Keesling Hancock, 86, of Max Meadows, Va., passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2009. She was born January 1, 1923 in Wythe County, daughter of the late Charles E. and Brookey Armbrister Keesling and was preceded in death by her husband, Ishmel L. Hancock. She attended the Full Gospel Bible Mission and was a member of Fort Chiswell United Methodist Church. She is survived by three daughters, Charlotte H. Naber and husband, Gary, of Wytheville, Lynn H. Lyons, Lesia H. Lewis and husband, Hal, all of Max Meadows; one son, Charles Lawrence Hancock and wife, Becky, of Dublin; eight grandchildren, James E. "Jake" Crockett III, Kelly Lynn Naber, Nicole L. Rakes, Michelle L. Underwood, William Jeffrey Lyons, Jason David Lewis, Jessica L. Reynolds and Julie L. Jones; 12 great-grandchildren, James E. Crockett IV, Alexandria and Aliyah Rakes, Levi and Sydney Underwood, Karissa Cressel, Ashlyn, Hannah, Grant and Gabby Reynolds, Eli and Emily Jones. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 25, 2009, at 7:30 p.m. at the Barnett Funeral Chapel with the Reverend Hal Lewis officiating. Interment will be Friday, November 27, 2009, at 2 p.m. in the Fink Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday at the Barnett Funeral Home from 5:30 p.m. until service time. Barnett Funeral Home, Wytheville, Va. is in charge of the arrangements.
