Ruth Fieulleteau Obituary

Ruth Marie Rogers Fieulleteau, of Roanoke, was born January 13, 1915 in Kittrell, North Carolina and departed this life on Friday, November 20, 2009. She graduated from Lucy Addison High School in 1932, then Fayetteville Teachers College. She earned her degree in Accounting from North Carolina Central College in 1939. Ruth worked at Knoxville College and Tuskegee Institute prior to her career of 30 years at the US Naval Research Laboratory in Washington, D.C. She returned to Roanoke in 1994. She was predeceased by her son, Gerald L. Fieulleteau, parents, Annie Howard and Charles Sumner Rogers, sister, Evelyn and brothers, Charles Jr., Harry, George and Richard Rogers. Ruth will be greatly missed by her family and friends who will remember her for her elegance, her love of the arts, and her many kindnesses. She is survived by her grandsons, Darren, Gerald Jr., Jordan and Justin Fieulleteau; sisters-in-law; several nieces and nephews; and many friends at Elm Park Estates and Bethel Ridge Assisted Living.
Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, December 4, 2009 at Plymouth Congregational Church, Washington, D.C. A memorial service will also be held in the chapel at Elm Park Estates 2 p.m. Sunday, November 29, 2009. Condolences may be sent to www.Hamlar-Curtis.com.

My name is Trina and about 10 years ago I worked at Elm Park and helped Miss Ruth with her ironing and use 2 dye her hair for her. She was one of the most kindest people you would want to know. I no longer live in Va. My prayers go out to the family. She will Be truely missed.
