Dear Brandon,
This is mom. I'm still trying to wrap it around my mind that you are gone from me. I keep waiting for this nightmare to be over and for you to walk in the door again. But, the days get longer, the wait more unbearable and I know it won't happen.
I know in my heart that you always knew that I loved you and am so very proud to have been chosen to be your mother. You were a gift from God to me from the moment you drew your first breath. The joy I felt at each thing you accomplished and pride I felt when you reached a goal is something I will carry with me forever.
I'm doing my best to care for Matt and Kellie. They miss you so much. I know they knew how much you loved them and so does everyone else that really knew you. I promise I will do everything in my power to ease their pain.
My precious baby boy, I love you today and forever. I will remember you with joy. gladness and soon I hope with laughter in my heart, just the way you would want me too. I know you found your way home and I want you to hold the door for me.
Love always, Mom

December 5, 2009

From our family to yours, our deepest thoughts and prayers are with you. We pray that God warms your hearts and minds and be with you all. Just remember our time here is short and precious, but our home in heaven is greater when we are called. You only know how hard this can be and having God with you; he will guide you. Brandon will be there with you through every single thing until you meet on that glorous day. To Mike and Leah; With your loss its apart of ours. Brandon will always be like a brother, son, and friend to us all. As far as Tana and Austin they too have lost an uncle and a friend. They both thought a lot of Brandon, and always will remember him. Brandon will always be in our thoughts and prayers, and he will never be forgotten. He comforts our hearts. God Bless you all and your family.

Morris Family,
I can't began to say I know your pain I pray God wraps his arms around each of you and that you will find peace. I know he had a lot of friends. I got to know him through Justin and He and Brandon wound ride motorcycles up and down the hill the field. I told Brandon on day I couldn't watch anymore they were scaring me he said it fun. I never told them but I went in the house but I still would watch them and prayed that they didn't wreck. My prays are with you and your family.

Dear Leah and family,
I am sitting here in shock and disbelief after hearing about the tragic loss of Brandon. I am so very sorry for the pain and agony I know you must be going through.

Even though it has been ten years since we worked together, I can still remember the look in your eyes and the pride in your voice when you spoke of Brandon. God also knows the pain and sense of loss you are feeling now and I pray that you will gain strength in the power of God's love. You know they say that our children belong to God and that they are only "on loan" to us, but as mothers, we can't help feeling "sole ownership" of them. Please try to think of Brandon as being in the presence of God now and what a wonderful place that must be. One day you will see him again and what joy will fill your heart.

Again, Leah, I am so sorry for your loss. If there is anything I can do for you, don't hesitate to call. You will be in my thoughts and prayers now and in the days to come.

Leah, Today is Sun (29th) and I can't help but sit here and think about what a woman of great strength you are. We spent all Fri evening together talking and reminicing about Justin and Brandon's days together since early childhood. He thinks of you as his 2nd mom (I can't think of anyone more qualified)and I thank you for that. Matt and Kellie are so very precious and I love them as well. Brandon, I love you with all my heart and will miss seeing your smiling (Lisa, I'm up to something) face. I love you !!!

Leah & family:
I love you all!!! I am so sorry!!! It's funny how life's little 15min conversations @ 6am in the ER over the past year & 1/2 develop into knowing someone. Leah I love those talks from our children, to family, and of course to Bland/Narrows basketball! I know what a wonderful mother you are and how charished your three children are to you and you to them! My heart is breaking for you & your family & I am here for you always!!! Just know that God had better plans for Brandon because he called him home and know that one day Brandon will be waiting on you as you did him the day he was born. He will live in your heart forever and love is never ending!!! Psalm 27:5 "For in the day of trouble he will keep me safe in his dwelling; he will hide me in the shelter of his tabernacle and set me high upon the rock." May God Bless your family in this hardship of pain! All my prayers & love!!!!

November 28, 2009

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

I can not even begin to imagine what your hearts are going through. the thought of loosing my son or my sister is just more than my mind can wrap around. Kellie, you are so dear and precious to me and Aaron- if you need us, please call anytime. Leah if there is anything you or your family needs or that we can do, we are just up the road. I ask God to give you mercy and strength to get through this. A verse that comes to mind is 1 Corinthians 10:13. God will never give us more than we can bear, as long as we give it over to Him and let Him help us find our way through. God bless you all.

The Cord
We are connected,
My child and I, by
An invisible cord
Not seen by the eye.

It's not like the cord
That connects us 'til birth
This cord can't been seen
By any on Earth.

This cord does it's work
Right from the start.
It binds us together
Attached to my heart.

I know that it's there
Though no one can see
The invisible cord
From my child to me.

The strength of this cord
Is hard to describe.
It can't be destroyed
It can't be denied.

It's stronger than any cord
Man could create
It withstands the test
Can hold any weight.

And though you are gone,
Though you're not here with me,
The cord is still there
But no one can see.

It pulls at my heart
I am bruised...I am sore,
But this cord is my lifeline
As never before.

I am thankful that God
Connects us this way
A mother and child
Death can't take it away!

Leah and Family:
I am sorry for this loss. I remember all the long hours we worked with this class in highschool. AFter proms, graduation, after graduation party. This was a great group of kids to work with and you were such a key to getting all this done. You are a wonderful mother Leah. Your children know that. David is so crushed about this he won't hardly even talk about it. he just goes off to himself. I was more afraid of them getting hurt on motorcycles or a fourwheeler. I remember the night i got a call from your house that David had flipped the four wheeler and fractured the bone over his heart. I just can't believe this has happened. I just won't you to know that you and your family are in our prayers and we will keep in touch. We will be there for you.

Leah and your family:
My heart is just broken to know what you are going through as a family...it leaves a person with a heavy heart, for a life to be taken in a such a short time and wondering "why"?. The lord be with this family during this tragic loss. Brandon always had a smile and never turned his head. He would always speak and had a driving heart to do whatever.... always was such a very nice and very polite young man...I will never forget the day's at the store and all of the love and running that Brandon did for football and the other sports..to stop and wait on rest of the kids and just smiling until the other buddies would catch up..what a great memory. My heart is broke and cannot imagine "a child"...Leah you are in my heart and thoughts. Matt and Kellie you all have so many great memories of your brother. A very hard worker for such a young man! Mike I know that the days will never be the same...but, if any of you need us...Please call and Lord please give this family the strength they will need for this hard time and days to come...God Bless..Dreama, Kerry, Shala Gammon and Eric Thompson

Dear Brandon,

What moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch, we may not understand why you left this earth so soon, or why you left before we were ready to say good-bye, but little by little, we begin to remember not just that you died, but that you lived. And that your life gave us memories too beautiful to forget.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.

When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.
