Harvey Hiner Obituary

Harvey Taylor Hiner, 83, of Roanoke, Va., went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 2, 2009. He was a Navy Veteran of World War II, and was a graduate of National Business College. Harvey was a member of North Roanoke Baptist Church. He worked for the Coca-Cola Company for 30 years. He later retired from the Lutheran Family Services with 11 years of service. He was preceded in death by a sister, Hilda Palkot. Harvey is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Helen Jean Moler Hiner; daughter, Cindy Hiner Hall; son, Forest William Hiner; grandchildren, Charlie Hall and Melinda Hall; brother, James Hiner and wife, Jean; and sisters, Helen LeSeur and husband, Lee, Hattie Lovegrove, and Hallie Harris. Funeral services will be held 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 5, 2009 at North Roanoke Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Darryl G. Crim officiating. Graveside services will be held at noon on Monday, December 7, 2009, at Hamilton Chapel Cemetery in Highland County. The family will be receiving friends from 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday, December 4, 2009, at Oakey's North Chapel, 540-362-1237.
