Hiley Scaggs Obituary

Hiley Irene Scaggs, 91, of Christiansburg, Va., died on Monday, December 1, 2009. She was preceded in death by her husband, (Andy) Bud Scaggs; daughter, Kitty Rae Scaggs; brothers, Ernest Altizer and Arvil Altizer; and one sister, Lorene Sutphin. She leaves to cherish her memory are nieces, Darlene Nester and Earnestine Altizer; and her nephew, Rusty Sutphin. The family will receive friends at The Horne Funeral Home on Friday, December 4, 2009, from noon to 2 p.m. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. on Friday in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Christopher Yopp officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery, Christiansburg. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Edgemont Christian Church. Irene was such a gentle loving lady. The memory of her wonderful smile and friendliness will remain with us always. Our sympathy goes out to the family.
