Elizabeth Bosang Obituary

Elizabeth Jordan Bosang, 92, of Roanoke, passed away on Saturday, December 05, 2009. She was the daughter of the late William Henry and Elizabeth Jane Woodyard Bosang, (owner of the former Federal Bakery). Elizabeth was born in Chester, Pennsylvania and moved to Roanoke at an early age. After the death of her parents, she resided with Mr. and Mrs. J. Edward Weaver for approximately 25 years. She attended Business College in Roanoke and afterwards worked for Appalachian Power, where she advanced to the Executive Offices and retired in 1979. She was a member of the Thursday Morning Music Club, the Quota Club, Raleigh Court United Methodist Church and was a world traveler. In addition to her parents, Elizabeth was also preceded in death by her sister, Katherine B. Moore. She is survived by her foster brother, Hobart Weaver and his wife, Mollie. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 9, 2009 at Sherwood Memorial Park with Pastor Roy L. Miller officiating. Arrangements by Oakey's Roanoke Chapel, 540-982-2100.
