Margaret Sharpe Obituary

Margaret Jenkins Sharpe, 91, of Glade Hill, Va., and formerly of Greensboro, N.C., passed away Friday, December 4, 2009. She was a member of Redwood United Methodist Church where she loved to attend and worship with the church family. Mrs. Sharpe was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Sharpe; seven brothers and sisters. Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Cornelius Bullock; two grandsons, Robert Bullock and Cornelius Bullock Jr.; four great-grandchildren, Paige Bullock, Conner Bullock, Sydney Bullock and Cornelius Bullock, III; two sisters, Betty Markham and Ann Decker; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 10 a.m. on Tuesday, December 8, 2009, from Redwood United Methodist Church with the Rev. Bradley S. Dulaney officiating. Interment will follow 2 p.m. on Tuesday in Lakeview Memorial Park, Greensboro, N.C. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Southern Virginia Child Advocacy Center, 300 South Main Street, Rocky Mount, Va. 24151. Her family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, December 7, 2009, at Flora Funeral Service, Rocky Mount, Va. www.florafuneralservice.com
