Our thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort. I worked with Richard for years, B&R auto parts, We help start Woods auto parts, cinderblock shelfs, full of parts, the man could tell a story, you could pick his voice out of a crowd, I have a pic of him Kyle and Richard Petty on both sides, I remember the airplanes,the bunch of guys would go to Talladaga, I live upstair in a tri-plex ON Jefferson st years ago. I wished I had known, but I was dealing with the loss of my brother on Monday, RICHARD was a good friend, sorry I lost touch over the years.and sorry for your loss. Allen

I am so shocked to hear of Richard's passing. I worked with him for many years at Rocky Mount Bowling Center. He was a wonderful person and a great friend to me. I sure will miss all those wonderful e-mails..God bless you and your family.

WE ARE SO SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT RICHARD'S
DYING. MURRELL KNEW THAT HE HAD RECENTLY GOTTEN OUT OF THE HOSPITAL.
WE HAVE KNOW EACH OTHER FOR A LONG TIME, WE JUST DON'T GET TO SEE EACH OTHER SINCE MURRELL IS NOT BOWLING,

Richard was a true and faithfull brother to his lodge and to me, it was not a time during a meeting that Richard did'nt make me bust out laughing, he was always a pleasure to be around and he served his lodge well for many years. we have truly lost a brother today. Richard we love you, you will be missed

We were shocked to hear about Richard; and offer our deepest condolences to his family and friends and co-workers. He was one of the friendliest and outgoing people one would ever meet. He always had a story or a joke. He was a proud Mason and a dear friend.
