Mrs. Bobbitt touched countless lives as a teacher and coach at Jackson Memorial High School, George Wythe high School, Hillsville High School, and Woodlawn Intermediate School. After retiring in 1991, Mrs. Bobbitt traveled with friends and enjoyed the "senior" activities at the Galax Recreation Center, including bridge and water exercise. When her health began to fail several years ago, Mrs. Bobbitt moved to Blacksburg where she was a resident of the Showalter Center and the Kroontje Health Care Center.
Mrs. Bobbitt will be greatly missed by her family and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Galax Foundation for Excellence in Education, 311 West Center Street, Galax, Va. 24333
