Evelyn Rogers Obituary

Evelyn Ginger Rogers, 81, of Buena Vista, Va., died on Wednesday, December 9, 2009, at Heritage Hall in Lexington. Born on December 16, 1927, in Rockbridge County, she was the daughter of the late Warren Ginger and Ethel Powell Ginger. Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Rogers. Surviving are three sisters, Edna Ginger Robinson, of Lexington, Gladys Collins and husband, Lawrence, of Natural Bridge Station, and Minnie G. Garrett and husband, Wayne, of Lynchburg; two brothers, George W. Ginger and wife, Kay, and Charles M. Ginger, all of Natural Bridge Station; many special nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and special friends, Lawrence and Betty Humphries, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Wheeler, and Christine Johnson. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. on Friday, December 11, 2009, at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Chapel with the Rev. W.A. Mills officiating. Burial to follow at Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, December 10, 2009, at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Home, Buena Vista, Va.
