Russell Gautier Obituary

Russell Marvin Gautier, 86, of Ripplemead, Va., departed this life on Tuesday afternoon, December 15, 2009, at Riverview Nursing Home in Rich Creek. Born in Giles County on January 20, 1923, he was a son of the late Walter Lee and Eula Martin Gautier. He was retired from the Celanese Plant at Narrows and was preceded in death by his mother; his brother, Raymond Gautier; and his sisters, Pauline Lucas and Mary Hess. He leaves to cherish his memory his sons and daughters-in-law, Marvin W. Gautier, of Pembroke, Robert L. and Deborah Gautier, of Ripplemead, and Donald H. and Drema Gautier, of Newport; his six grandchildren; his two greatgrandchildren; his sister, Irene Boyd, of Narrows; his stepmother, Virginia Rose Hale Gautier, of Rich Creek; his half sisters, Frances Epling, Lilly Hatcher, and Joyce Kiger, all of Pearisburg, and Janice Collins, of Shawsville; his half brothers, Richard Gautier, of Pearisburg, Tommy Gautier and Jimmy Gautier, of Narrows, and Jerry Gautier, of Pembroke. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. on Friday, December 18, 2009, in the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St. in Pembroke with burial following in the Gautier Cemetery on Fletchers Mt. near Narrows. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from noon until 2 p.m. before the services. Online condolences may be sent to kendallfuneralhome.com.
