Pauline McPhatter Obituary

Mrs. Pauline McPhatter, 81, of Roanoke, Va., passed away on Thursday, December 17, 2009. She was born on July 9, 1928, to the late James and Ethel McEachin. She was also preceded in death by a brother; and her husband, George McPhatter. Those left to cherish fond memories include her son, George McPhatter Jr. (Brenda); a daughter, Betty Stewart, both of Roanoke; sisters, Hilda M. McLean, of Red Springs, N.C., Ruth Valentine (Whitney), of Chicago Ill and Naomi O'Farrow. of Washington, D.C.; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 23, 2009, at Greater Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Williams Memorial Park.
