Ruby Chitel Obituary

Ruby Mutispaugh Chitel, 90, of Buena Vista, Va., formerly of Syracuse, N.Y., died Friday, December 18, 2009, at Golden Living Center in Buena Vista. Born April 27, 1919, in Buena Vista, she was a daughter of the late William David Mutispaugh and Catherine Rowsey Mutispaugh. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald R. Chitel. Mrs. Chitel was a member of the Lexington Presbyterian Church. Surviving are two nieces, Claudine Hamilton, of Buena Vista, Kathleen Floyd, of Buchanan; six nephews, Kenneth Mutispaugh, John Mutispaugh, Carl Mutispaugh, Kevin Wayne Hamilton, Robert Scott Hamilton, all of Lexington, Terry Hamilton, of Brownsburg; and a special great niece, Tamara Hamilton, of Roanoke. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 22, 2009, at Harrison Funeral Home Chapel. Burial to follow in Stonewall Jackson Cemetery with the Pastor Russ Barb officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Arrangements by Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington, Va.
