Carl Hart Obituary

Carl A. Hart, 85, of Salem, Va., passed away at home on Saturday, December 19, 2009. He was lovingly known as Uncle Dave, the name his listeners gave him when he worked on WSLC radio for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Edna Hart. His surviving family includes his wife of 62 years, Alice Hart; daughter, Cynthia Smith and husband, Vernon, of California; son, Roger Hart and wife, Gianne, of Georgia; sisters, Norma Harper, of Richmond, Betty King, of Colonial Heights, and Feigh Hales, of Colonial Heights; granddaughters, Emily Jones, of Oregon and Nicol Hart, of Georgia; grandson, Nathan Hart, of Georgia; and great-grandsons, Jaxson and Hayden Jones, of Oregon. A memorial service is being planned for a later date at Faith Central Fellowship where he attended church. Online condolences to the family may be made at johnmoakey.com. We will miss Dave, a sweet spirit man of God. He would always keep you in his prayers, and pray with you. We will keep Alice and her family in our prayers.
