Albert Guy Hodges

Albert Guy Hodges, 85, of Glade Hill, Va., died Monday, December 21, 2009. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Pearlie and Lucy Mary Bousman Hodges, four sisters, Christine Hall, Thelma, Waleta, and Doris Hodges and two brothers, Perry and Morton Hodges. Guy was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Marines. Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Dorothy Brown Hodges; one daughter, Diane Bousman (Glenn); two sons, Dennis Hodges (Betty); Bobby Dale Hodges (Donna); seven grandchildren; eight greatgrandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; six stepgreat-grandchildren; one sister, Paige Davis; three brothers, Carlton Hodges (Clarabelle), Glennwood Hodges, Junior Gilbert Hodges (Rebecca); sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Helen Moran, John Everett Brown, Mary Brown, Peggy Davis, Ben Louis Brown, Jr., Jane Troutt, Phyllis and Jimmy Martin; special friends, Lori and Bradley Baker; numerous nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 2 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Bradley S. Dulaney officiating. Interment will follow in the Hodges Family Cemetery. Friends may call after 3 p.m. Tuesday with his family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at Flora Funeral Service, "Exclusive provider for Veterans & Family Memorial Care", Rocky Mount.
