Malcolm Riggins Obituary

Malcolm Haswell Riggins, 66, of Pulaski, Va., passed away early Saturday, December 19, 2009, peacefully in the Pulaski Health & Rehab Center. He is now with Jesus and has no more sickness and no more pain. He was born in Danville, Va., on March 10, 1943, and was the son of the late Haswell O. and Rose Fulton Riggins. He was also preceded in death by a sister. Surviving are his wife of 44 years, Patsy McGrady Riggins, of Pulaski, Va.; sons, Dennis Riggins, of Pulaski, Va., and Malcolm J. Riggins, of Rich Creek, Va.; daughter, Terri Denise Bralley, of Austinsville, Va.; grandsons, Jonathan and Justin Riggins Hunter and Harley Bralley; sisters, Ruth Shorter, of Staunton, Va., Lucy Mae Humphry, of Staunton, Va., and Helen Underwood, of Greensboro, N.C.; five nephews; one niece; two special beagles, Bridget and Spot, who he loved very much. Mac was loved by everyone. He will be missed very much. A very special thank you is extended to the staff and nurses at Pulaski Health and Rehab, who took care of Mac for the family. Mr. Riggins will be cremated. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Stevens Funeral Home, Inc., Pulaski, Va.
