Anna Belle Brown Eason

Anna Belle Brown Eason, 88, of Roanoke and formerly of Orange, Va., died on December 23, 2009 after a short illness. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, W. Robert Eason; her children, W. Robert Eason, Jr., Susan Eason Anthony, and Sarah Belle Eason Parrott and additionally by sons-in-law, Larry Houston Anthony, and John C. Parrott II; grandchildren, Eric Houston Anthony and wife, Sheila, Sarah Boxley Parrott Beck and husband, Carl E. Beck III, and John C. Parrott III; greatgrandson, Kyle Houston Anthony, and cousin, Helen Reames Barnes. She was predeceased by her parents, Charles Edward Brown and Sue Webb Brown, a sister, Jeanne Ruffin Brown, and a brother, Charles Edward Brown, Jr., all of Petersburg, Va. She was an avid flower arranger and a member of the Dolly Madison Garden Club of Orange, Va. She was also a member of the Nancy Christian Fleming chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution in Roanoke. She was a member of the Orange Presbyterian Church and College Church, Hampden-Sydney, Va. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. on Tuesday, December 29, 2009, at The Park at Oak Grove. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hampden-Sydney College Office of Advancement, P.O. Box 637, Hampden-Sydney, Va., 23943 for the benefit of the Eason Family Scholarship.
