To Gail, Ms. Frierson and family members - my thoughts and prayers are truly with you all. Take comfort in knowing that Ronnie is with the Lord now for "to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord". It was a privilege to have known Ronnie and I saw what a worker and an inspiration he was to everyone. He will truly be missed as a member of your family and a member of Pilgrim's family. May God bless you all and give you comfort.

Gail and Family,
My heart goes out to you in your time of sadness. We had just seen Ronnie before the holidays as he was buying newspapers. He had a big, bright smile on his face and was telling us that he was buying several newspapers because his grandson was in the newspaper that day. He was so happy and so proud. I wanted to share that with you, his children, and grandchildren. He was a very special person, and I am very thankful that my husband and I had the opportunity to meet him through you at Lewis-Gale. I hope your many special memories will bring you comfort.

My Dearest Friend, Gail and Family Members of Ronald:
My heart is heavy and the right words are hard to fine, but please know that God is always in control and He will hold you and give you the strength you need to get through this very difficult time.
Gail, both you and Ronnie believe in the POWER of God and I know that your heart is heavy, but your faith in God and the assurance that Ronnie is at peace with God will keep you strong.
Ronnie touched the life of many people by his charm, friendliness, and just sincerity. This was quite an accomplishment and testimony. Despite how he was feeling, he keep going and never complained.
May God keep you and his family strong. I'm praying for all of you.

To Gail and All of Ronnie's Family: Ronnie will truly be missed: at church, during TeeBall season, at the church picnic..but most importantly in our prescence. When he came into the room, the atmosphere changed. He brought so much life and laughter around that you could tell when he was there. Ronnie will be missed but I find comfort in knowing that he is at rest; in no more pain or suffering. He is now truly a 'Pilgrim Angel' in the outfield. We love and miss you Ronnie.

Dearest Gail, Ms. Frierson, Ms. Barbara, and all the family,
Gail, you are all in our prayers. Mere words cannot express our deepest sympathies to you. We were deeply hurt to hear of the passing of our brother in Christ; a musician second to none.
O, how we will miss brother Ronnie, he always spoke and would have a little conversation with us and he always said something to make us laugh. What a friendly person he was we shall never forget 'Ronnie'. O, yes we know he had some health issues but he never let that stop him from being about God's work, to God be the glory for that. We can remember the time when Ronnie threw down his canes and gave God the praise dance of his life on sunday morning. Ronnie, is praising his Lord better than that right now, and for that we give thanks.
Gail we can't imagine how you feel at this time; but we pray much for your strength.
Ronnie is gone but not forgotten. He's gone where the angels and he will never stop playing on their 'bongos' about the goodness of the Lord. He's playing a tune that we will have to wait until we get there to hear the beauty of it.
He is in a place where there is no more sorrow, no more pain, a place near the heart of God. He's in a place where the wicked have ceased from troubling him, and the weary can be at rest. We could hear the Lord say, welcome home soilder come in and take your rest, put on some easy garments, and some sandals on your feet. Lay down your weary head upon my breast, and when you need to be filled, "I have prepared a table for you."
Gail we love you and are praying much for your strength at this time and remember that weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning. Psalm 30:5b

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.
