I'm selfish......... wish you were still here. I try to remember that you're near us at all times because you are buried deep in our hearts. There will never be another person like you in any of our lives. I guess you only get to have one Grannymother. But what a wonderful one you were. We all miss you and everyday one of us thinks of a funny story. You were our biggest fan. We're homesick for you and we will all see you soon. We will always laugh about your Vicks. haha I'll bet you're making them laugh in Heaven.

I can only imagine what it will be like when I walk by your side. I can only imagine what my eyes will see when your face is before me. I can only imagine.
I wasn't there when you entered this world, but I was blessed enough to be by you as you left here and entered heaven. It still hasn't really hit me that you're not longer physically among us. I could never, and can never thank you enough for everything that you did for us: the things we knew you did, and for the many things I'm sure we were never aware of. In your hands, no one was ever hungry, or unloved, or ever was without a place to lay their heads. You loved unconditionally and freely. I know that heaven was ablaze the moment you walked through the gates... and with a special place waiting for you, no doubt. Am I sad? More than you'll ever know. You were my buddy.... and I'll miss answering your Saturday morning phone calls (BIG DOLLY!!!). But, what a legacy you leave us... and what a life of example you provided. You were, and still are the bomb, Grannymother. All grandmothers are special... but you were one of a kind. And I'm honored, and beyond blessed to have called you mine.
I miss you. I love you more now than ever, and can't wait to see you one day.

Along with my brother, Robert, and sister, Lisa, I have very fond memories of our childhood visits to Austinville. With my dad in the Air Force it seemed liked we never got to come often enough. We always called Aunt Dolly the "Kissing Aunt" because each time she saw us she would grab us up and kiss, kiss, kiss. I remember standing next to her in 1991 as she gently patted the top of my granfather Henry Grubb's coffin and softly repeated his name. I knew then that she wasn't thinking about an 87 year old man being laid to rest but of a still teen-age boy, telling stories, teasing her, and probably pulling her hair. We'll always remember Aunt Dolly's smile and her laughter. We know everyone who knew her will too.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time of loss. Grannymother was an energetic, witty, and loving woman. She made a lasting impression upon meeting her. She is alive in each of you as you all have her charisma of spreading joy, love and laughter. Our prayer is that God comforts you in your times of sadness, gives you the strength you need to live life without this precious loved one, and builds your hope on His promise of spending eternity in heaven where Grannymother awaits our arrival. With love, Bob and Loretta Templeton

Dear Grannymother,
It's still hard to believe that you are not here with us but we know that if we all do what you taught us to do we will all be with you and PawPaw again soon! I have so many wonderful memories of you and there will not a day go by that I don't think of you. You are deep in my heart. I hope that we can live up to the legacy you are leaving behind for us. We're going to try hard. Thanks for all you did for us. I know I wouldn't be the person that I am today if you had not been in my life. I love you always and can't wait to see you again.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Our family, Clyde and Lucille King, were so blessed to have known Dolly and Lomie. I have precious memories attending church on Marshall Street with Rev. and Mrs. Freeman and Ruthie, Dolly and Lomie singing, Lomie clowning with we kids; Dolly's hair always in a perfect twist; a beautiful person. We will always feel they are a part of our family and will cherish our memories. God bless the Robinson family.
