I am so sorry for your loss; she will most certainly be missed. I remember her as someone that was always ready to answer a question or give help whenever it was needed to both faculty and staff as well as the students at Montcalm High.

The years that Donita and I shared growing up were very special. We had great fun playing in her home and just enjoying Ballard life. Throughout her life she touched so many with her sweet smile and countless kindnesses. I am so sorry for your loss. My prayers and thoughts are with you.

I am so sorry for loss of your mother, she was a wonderful lady. I will always remember her bright smiling face from the office at Montcalm High School. I was fortunate enough to be able to work with her for a breif time at EchoStar, she will be greatly missed by all who knew her. We always had a good time with you and your family, whether it was at youth group at church or our Labor Day Camping trip to Camp Ivy each year before heading back to school. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your families in this time of loss. Noone has to tell you what a wonderful person your mom was! As a teenager growing up, some of my fondest memories include your mom. Not just as the awesome youth leader that she was, but spending time at her house as well. Some of those good times even included baby sitting 2 little rambunctious boys! Making trips to Ballard to see your grandparents was always fun too!! I loved coming to your house to spend time with you mom and your family! I even felt special when she let me drive the black and silver bronco!! Good times and good memories!! I love you guys!

I am so sorry for your loss. I remember Donita from the MHS days...I worked in the office one period my senior year and she was such a sweet lady and a joy to work with. I will be praying for all of your family.
Dreama and Scottie...we lost Steve's dad in 2003 and one of the hardest things was knowing he would not be in our daughter's life. Pass the memories and the stories down to your little ones and Donita will ALWAYS be part of their lives, too.

Scottie & Richie,
We both loved your MoM. There simply wasn't anything too far-fetched for Donita to help us with. I personally recall attempting to teach that first year having spent 20 previous years in the coal mine and picking up some bad habits accompanied with uncalled for language. Your MoM was a God Send to our little school with an understanding love and concern for students, faculty and staff.

I know you are aware of the close friendship your mom and I had. We were like sisters. I hope you know how much she loved you boys. Our conversations centered around what our kids were doing. She was so proud of you both and those grandkids. Donita was such a good hearted person, always giving and caring about other people and with such a wonderful smile and vibrant laughter. I will miss her so much but I can always look back on the fun times our families had such as camping at Smith Mountain Lake, dinners and cookouts together and just the fun family times we all had. Your mom was my best friend and I will never forget her goodness and her bright smile. We always made each other laugh.

I worked with Donita many years ago at Pemco. She was one of the most kind, giving and loving people I have ever met. She always talked about her boys, Scotty and Richie. I am so, so sorry for your loss. God Bless you all.
