Michael Smith Obituary

Michael Frederic Smith, 61, of Wytheville, Va., died on Thursday, January 7, 2010. He was the son of the late Frederic and Rosa Hagy Smith. He was a United States Navy Veteran, and was a member of the Masonic Lodge #82 AF & AM. He attended All Nations Church of God. He is survived by his wife, Linda Corvin Smith, of Wytheville; daughters and sons-in-law, Heather and Mark Mabry, of Wytheville, and Corie and Ricky Patton, of Wytheville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Colleen and Richard Huff, of Salem and Mary Ann and Glenn Pollard, of Dana, Ind.; brother and sister-in-law, Patrick and Melinda Smith, of Winston-Salem, N.C.; special caretaker, Lynda Grubb; and five grandchildren, Brynne Mabry, Mason Mabry, Lucas Mabry, Jared Arnold, and Reese Patton. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 9, 2010, at All Nations Church of God, conducted by Pastor Chad Dunford with interment to follow at New Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday from noon until service time at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to All Nations Church Of God Children's Ministries. Grubb Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
