Aunt Noss was always my second mom. The good memories will always be with me. She is now with her family in heaven. Gone home but never forgotten.

To the family of Flossie Elliot Simpson,
My way of introduction, I am the youngest son of Lucille Smith who was the roommate of Mrs. Simpson while she and my mother were in a nursing home in Lynchburg back in 2001 for rehabilitation from falls. My mother thought a lot of Mrs. Simpson and, even though my mother did not like being in the nursing home, she enjoyed sharing a room with Mrs. Simpson. Having a person of like interest as a roommate helped my mother get through the experience of having to go through rehabilitation. I am sure that Mrs. Simpson did not enjoy the rehabilitation experience either, but I hope that having my mother for a roommate made the experience a little better for her. Needless to say, I was sorry to hear of Mrs. Simpson's death. My mother died in May 2008 after having to be readmitted to the same nursing home in Lynchburg. My mother was 90 years old when she died. Had she lived my mother would have celebrated her 92nd birthday on December 31st. Even though I am sure you will miss your mother like I miss mine, they had good long lives and we had them with us longer than some children have their mothers.
Rest assured that your family will be in my thoughts and in my heart during this difficult time. Take care and best wishes to all of you.
