Through the last few years I have not had much contact with John Paul but he is an indelible part of my cherished memories of Grantsville High. As Student Body President he showed remarkable wisdom and maturity. He was a natural leader both academically and in sports. I always kidded John that I was the reason he was voted Allstate Center for football. I played right guard next to John on the offensive line and I told John that anyone playing next to me, if they were good at all, had to look great by comparison. But John Paul is a great person. He was not perfect in this mortal life and he made mistakes as we all do, but in the annals of time he will go down as a kind, gentle, loving, and caring person. My thoughts and prayers are with his family as we all grieve their loss of husband, father and friend.

The Fraser Family sends love and sympathy to all the members of John Millward's family. John and our brother, John Allen, who died in 1959 just after his 17th birthday, were the best of friends as classmates in Grantsville. Perhaps they are renewing that friendship at this time. Please accept our condolences and prayers for peace and comfort to your aching hearts.

Nancy, I was so sorry to hear of John's passing. I am not able to attend the service. Please know that I am so happy that we were able to have John, you, Rosmary, Jill, and I altogether in June. He was a wonderful man. The years you were married to John were probably the best years of his life.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
