Robyne, I'm so sorry for the loss of your father. I know just how near and dear he was, and still is to your heart. Please know that I feel a deep sense of empathy with you. The veil is thin; I know that you will feel his presence near you from time to time. During this time of sadness, may the Spirit of the Lord melt away your pain and comfort your heart is my prayer.

I was so lucky to have Pops as my grandpa. Pops was not only my grandpa, but my bestfriend too. He was always happy to see us. We would walk in and no matter what he was doing he always had time to visit with us. We would sit in on his couch, watch golf, and eat croutons and drink Ruby Red Grapefruit and Tangerine. I had the oppertnity to live next door to him for 11 years before he had to move into assisted living. During that time I would be over at his appartment everyday after school. I would go to the store with him most of the time. We would ride the bus to Maceys. I was scared whenever I wasn't able to go or when he went while I was at school. Mainly because I was his eyes. I liked going to the store with him because he would always get me a treat. When Pops had to go to assisted living I would go over and visit him as much as I could. We would sit and talk then go play some pool. Pops was always nice to us. I only saw him yell once and I barely remember it. Whenever any of his grandkids came to visit, he got his famous smile on. Pops loved his family so much. Thanks mom and dad for letting Pops live with us for so long. Because of that I got to know a great man, whom I will never, ever forget.
