Aunt Sue Romney mentioned to me tonight (March 26) that she'd seen Uncle Smith's obituary. I was grateful to be able to access it online. Uncle Smith was the end of his generation of Jacobs--these wonderful, stalwart children of our pioneer Henry Chariton Jacobs, who was born on the trek out of Nauvoo. Uncle Smith contributed a lot and left us a great legacy in the records he produced of his parents and his siblings. I will always be grateful for his contributions to our family history and I appreciate having a copy of the beautiful book he produced.

Dear Cousins, A world of memories attached to Uncle Smith--the last of the Jacobs and our ties with the past from that generation. Smiles, nostalgia, warm feelings. The unique man we loved. I am so happy I got to visit with him before we left for Denmark. May the Lord bless us all to honor his name, life and your heritage with worthy lives. Our love, Dee and Kay
