I was just showing a picture of you to a friend the other night. I'm blessed to have so many photos of the great times we had together.
Also, Chynna (your Goddaughter) is now 14! Her big sis Krystal is 19. Oh how my daughters miss you so much. We love you Judy, and will always REMEMBER and HONOR those lost 11 years ago.
P.S. - Obama got him Judy. Oh yes he did! And I pray each day that every single victim can now rest better.

I spent a considerable amount of time at the 9/11 Memorial today, including the WTC Tribute tour. At the WTC Tribute Center I picked and purchased, at random a memorial band. This band has Judy's name on it. I immediately put it on and intend to wear it daily, as a constant reminder. I did some online research because I wanted to know more about this name that appears on this band, because I wanted to know her story. I located her name and prayed on the spot at the 9/11 Memorial as well. I'll be praying each and every day for all of Judy's family and loved ones. May the light she shared with everyone always be remembered. God bless. <3

I was only 3 years old when the awful terrorist attack happend and I don't remember it, but over the past few weeks I have learned a lot about the 9/11 attack. A few weeks ago my school had organized a "releasing of ballons" in honor of the 10 year anniversary. Also, in my science class my teacher took the class outside, after giving us all iris seeds, to plant in honor of someone who was killed that day. I hope one of those iris plants were planted for you. They will blossom in spring. I will pray for your family, who I'm sure has suffered a terrible loss. God bless you.

Judy, I pray over your picture every day. In fact, I talk to you every day. I miss how we talked nearly every day on the phone because you lifted me up. It was a blessing to become your friend back in 1985. You were one of the most beautiful people (inside and out) that I knew. Rest in peace Angel.
September 12, 2011
Judy, this 10th year doesn't feel any better. Every year I refuse to move until I hear them read your name but yesterday I just couldn't bring myself to turn on that broadcast, it hurt so. Yet last night, I laid down for the night and turned on the evening news. It was a replay of the memorial and I heard them read your name after all. I honestly felt like you remembered me at that moment of much needed rest. You are one of His Angels, God rest my old friend.

Almost ten years ago I met (as a Dutchman visiting New York) Judy's mother near Ground Zero. I was commenting on the tragedy for Dutch media. I was so much impressed by the shocking story she told me. Last week we organized a commemerative meeting in The Hague. 150 persons listened to the story I told about Judy (what her mother told me and what I read about her on the web and in the NYT). The U.S. ambassador was there, three former Dutch ministers of Foreign Affairs and many youngsters. There was one minute of silence. We will not forget Judith Diaz and the other victims!

I never thought I would know someone who was taken from us on Sept. 11, 2001 until I saw Judy's picture in a book on 911 in Costco. It broke my heart. I remember her from her brother Hector. We all grew up in Douglass Houses in Manhattan. There is really nothing I can say to make you feel any better. But I certainly hope you are better able to cope with her loss. God Bless you and your family.

It's been 6 years and I'm still in disbelief that you were taken from us. When I look at your picture around the house it's just like you're on a long vacation. You were taken from me when I was sixteen years old, I'm sorry for my old ways. I now have a beautiful daughter named Ava Juri that I must raise to know who her Titi Judy was, and what she stood for. In this I take absolute great pride. Thank you for never leaving my side, I love you more and more everyday.

Ron,
We met last year in Puerto Rico before you departed for a cruise with the husband of your wife's best friend. When you told me that you had both lost your wives in the WTC tradgedy, I admired your courage for taking that cruise and trying to do whatever you could to have some normalcy in your life. I remember being touched by the wedding ring you had around your neck. I thought of the story you related about how hard it was to put your wife's personal items away and even how sad you felt going grocery shopping without her. I thought of you and your wife's family today and hope that you find solace in each other and your faith. Your wife was very lucky to be loved so much by such a kind man.
I hope that God helps you through each and every day that you miss your wife, and that you are well.
Sincerely,
Jeannine Gilleran

Dear Judy,
I just wanted you to know that you are always in our prayers. Your smile was contagious especially when laughing at Ron's corny jokes. You always welcomed us at parties and barbeques. Your friendship with Emy was a special one. If anyone that knew you both can find any comfort or solace in this tragedy, is that you two are, "Truly Friends Forever"!!!!!!
Take care of each other up there and continue to shine down upon us.
Love,
Terry,Ana and Natalie.

Dear Judith and Family:
Today marks the first anniversary of you passage and it seems like yesterday. I don't remember you much since I met you as a child. Our parents are dear friends from back in Dominican Republic. Actually, they grew together and as things happen they grew apart til last year. Losing you brought my mother and yours back together. There is not a day your mom doesn't cry for you. I know that you are up with the angels and I beg you to please help your mother cause I know from my own experience that losing a child is the worst tragedy that a parent can suffer. I will always pray for you and your wonderful family.

Judy, I will always miss you. All I could remember was our days in JHS going home for lunch together (my house or your house). I was always looking for trouble and you trying to stop me. You were picky on choosing your friends but I had the honor of being chosen to be your friend. Ron, Arcelia, Iris, Isa, and the rest of the family my prayer will always be with you. I will always remember you.

Judith:
I never met you but I do know your grandmother, Felicia and I've met your mom. Long ago, I took a course with your sister,Iris. May God hold you in his loving arms. I pray that God gives some peace to your mom who I know is so justifiably devastated. To your husband I say: Cherish your memories of her always - they can't take that away from you and forge ahead, little by little, as a tribute to Judith. God Bless You.

I will never forget you my beautiful cousin. Although we had drifted apart throughout the years, I am very thankful that we found each other again at the WTC. I am thankful that I ran into you during one of your many lunch hour shopping sprees and I will look forward to the day when we will run into each other again in heaven. I miss you and will love you forever Ju-D!

To the family of Judith Berquis Diaz-Sierra
Just want to let you know that my heart was touched when I read about Judith - she almost reminded of my personality, quiet and reserved. I pray that God will give you comfort during these days of sadness and grief. Please be aware of the fact the God is a God of all comfort. So when the lonely nights get the best of you, please know that He loves you and is by your side. Just call out to Him and know that he is there with arms wide open ready to embrace you and ease your pain...He's as close as the mention of His name, Jesus, our Lord and savior.
I too lost a brother-in-law at the WTC. In fact, he worked at Fiduciary, his name is Arcangel Vazquez; Judith, I'm sure, knew him. He was a maintenance worker. So I can relate to your pain. My husband William and I will say a prayer for you and your family during these difficult days. Please remember that God cares.
